JULY 2019 FISHING REPORT

LODGING AVAILABLE – NICE AND COMFORTABLE!

CALL FOR DETAILS:  361-688-6459

Hello Everybody,

June has been overall exceptionally windy.  July and August should fall into place and get with the summertime pattern.  Come on wind–get your act together.  Croaker will be the bait of choice for trout unless piggy perch show up.  As of this writing no Piggies to be found, which is weird in and of itself.  Trout are still thick as thieves and will still your bait if you are day dreaming or on your cell phone.  Reds are in the flats eating anything you put in front of them.  The next two months will be awesome and catching will continue to be fantastic.  Give your favorite guide a call and get on the water.

WE CAN OFFER YOU LODGING – ASK FOR MORE DETAILS!

Hello To Everyone,

The wind was coming out of the north 25-35mph, it was 105-110 degrees heat index, and the water was chocolate milk color.  The fish catching stunk.  We caught a bunch of hard heads, gaff tops, and 24/26 inch sharks.   Then around noon, the wind changed, came out of the east/southeast, and the bite turned on.  It did not take long to get our limits of Trout all on Croaker.  Please check the weather, book a trip, or two, and “let’s go catch you some memories”!

Please contact me and “lets go catch you some memories”.
Thank you,
Captain Lanny Phillips

JULY 2019 FISHING REPORT:

Redfish are heating up and so is the outside temperatures. As of the last full moon I’ve started to see the reds start schooling a bit. It will only get better as we go into July. Getting an early start is priority this time of year due to the blinding sun and high temperatures out on the water after the noon hour. Limits of redfish daily on my boat, but I’ve had to work at it for the most part. I look for easier fishing starting in July. I have some open dates so don’t hesitate to call.

SUMMERTIME 2019:

FISHING IS SO GREAT THIS TIME OF YEAR!! NO FISH, NO PAY!

Summer is in full swing with a good speckled trout bite using croaker as bait early in the morning before the water heats up. We have been catching good numbers of black drum throughout the day on shrimp on bottom or sight casting larger black drum with free lined shrimp. Summer is the least windy season in Corpus Christi so it is a great time to go off-shore when the weather permits. The clear skies and low winds of summer also make it a great time to bow-fish for black drum and sheepshead. So give me a call at (313) 384-6463 to book your adventure.

Book your fishing adventure with Capt. Ryan Rock and see what it’s like to catch a lot of fish and make some unforgettable memories with family and/or friends!  Trips offered Year-Round – Weekdays and Weekends are Available!  CALL TO RESERVE: 313-384-6463
